Festivity to show psychological support to displaced children held in Tartous

Tartous, SANA The Arab Cultural Center in Tartous held a festivity in the framework of the psychological support program to the displaced children in the city on Sunday evening.

The festivity was held in cooperation with the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and the Ministry of Culture.

Representative of the UNICEF and the Psychological Support Program for the displaced Maha Hammad pointed out that the festivity is a series of activities that aim at enhancing the resilience of the Syrian children affected by the crisis and rehabilitating them to overcome its psychological impacts.

The program started two years ago and managed to attract a big number of the displaced children aged between 4 years to 17 years.

An art exhibition was held within the framework of the festivity.

The exhibition focused on the issues of preserving the environment and the personal cleanliness for enhancing the health awareness in addition to other optional issues through which the children expressed their dreams and imaginations.

The exhibition included pieces of the children’s works of wool, bamboo, straw and beads which revealed their creative talents.

The festivity also included a music performance by the displaced coral and Tartous Scouts team.
