Mikdad: Syria will continue struggle to preserve its people’s dignity and sovereignty

DAMASCUS, SANA – Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Fayssal Mikdad stressed that Syria with its steadfast stances against the Zionist aggression which is backed by the West and some Arab countries will continue its struggle to preserve the dignity and sovereignty of its people.

In an article published Saturday by Lebanese al-Binaa Newspaper, Mikdad said ”  Even if the terrorists, who are overtly backed by some of the Gulf states, have become able to behead humans and eat their hearts and livers without any deterrent, the Syrian people will not surrender to those who have never sent a single fighter to Gaza.”

Mikdad added it is well-known that the western countries are behind  all the developments in the region which aim to protect Israel and to preserve its security and hegemony on the Middle East.

“The Western countries claim that Syria has become a magnet attracting terrorists, yet they contradict the logic as they send terrorists to Syria and Iraq, and they don’t exert any notable pressure on their agents in Saudi Arabia and other countries to stop financing and arming  those killers…,” he said.
