Tourism Minister calls on owners of stalled tourist facilities to re-run their projects

Damascus, SANA – Minister of Tourism at Caretaker government Bishir Yazigi affirmed that the huge turnout of the Syrian and expatriates who are returning to their country for spending Eid al-Fiter and the summer vacation put double responsibility on tourist facilities.

The Minister called on the investors and the owners of the stalled facilities to re-run their projects to support tourism in Syria, adding that tourism is developing in the country thanks to the huge government support.

Yazigi pointed out that the expansion of the safe areas in Syria is the reason behind the remarkable tourism activity, hailing the role of the Syrian Arab Army in confronting terrorism and protecting citizens around the Country.

“Our Valley Nights” festival which kicked off Saturday in Homs is a message to the Syrian expatriates to participate in re-invigorate tourism sector in Syria,” Yazigi said.
