Lavrov: De-escalation zones agreement reached between Moscow and Washington proves possibility of achieving global security

Moscow, SANA – Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the de-escalation zones agreement reached between Moscow and Washington to reduce tension in Syria proved that all states could work together to achieve global security.

In a televised statement, Lavrov underlined the importance of Syria’s de-escalation zones in separating the opposition from terrorists, indicating to the failure of the US partners, during the days of President Barack Obama’s administration, to achieve this goal.
