European Commission calls for “avoiding escalation” after latest Israeli aggression on Syria

Brussels, SANA- European Commission expressed “concern” over military escalation after the latest Israeli aggression on Syria, stressing the need for “abiding by international law.”

The Syria army air defense confronted a new Israeli aggression early Saturday on one of the military positions in the central area and hit more than one aircraft, the army air defense, as well, confronted an Israeli aggression in Damascus countryside and thwarted it.

Reuters quoted a spokeswoman for the European Commission as saying in a regular press briefing on Monday that the Commission “is monitoring the situation closely,” calling for “abiding by international law, show self-restraint, and avoiding actions that further escalate the situation.”
