Lavrov: Washington must withdraw from Syria because it threatens its stability

Moscow, SANA- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed that the US military presence in Syria is illegitimate, asserting that Washington should withdraw its forces which threaten the stability of Syria and plunder the resources of its people.

Lavrov said in an interview with the Russian RT channel network on Wednesday that the real goals of the presence of US forces in Syria are clear which are to control the oil sources in northeastern Syria and support the separatists there.

Lavrov noted that the Americans will eventually leave Syria and QSD militia should understand that.‎
