Provinces, SANA_ Army units on Monday shot down a booby-trapped radio-controlled aircraft on the direction of Tafas in the northern countryside of Daraa, according to a military source.

The source said that the army units also eliminated a number of terrorists while trying to attack some military posts and targeted their movements in Daraa al-Balad and its surroundings, al-Sad(dam) road and in al-Abbasiyeh neighborhood

Homs

Army units, in cooperation with backup forces, continued operations against gatherings and movements of ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Homs, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and weaponry.

A military source told SANA that the army units carried out during the past hours special operations against ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Homs and established control over a number of important points in Dohour al-Ghanaem area,7 k.m north of Abu kala dam, killing a number of ISIS terrorists and destroying their vehicles.

Earlier, the army units advanced in a number of roads in al-Badia (desert) on the direction of Ark gas field, northeast Palmyra city and on the northwesterly direction of the 4th Station in the eastern countryside of Homs province, inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists in personnel and equipment.

A military source said that a number of terrorists were killed and their vehicles including machinegun-equipped SUVs were destroyed.

 Deir Ezzor

Army and Armed Forces units thwarted an attack by ISIS terrorists at the southern axis of Deir Ezzor city, killing and injuring scores of them.

SANA’s reporter said that the army units engaged in heavy clashes with terrorist groups affiliated to ISIS in the direction of Liwaa al-Tameen and the vicinity of Deir Ezzor airport, killing more than 60 terrorists, injuring scores others, and destroying a vehicle equipped with a heavy machinegun, in addition to the seizing of a BMP vehicle.

Meanwhile, local sources in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor reported that a terrorist nicknamed “Abu Mariam al-Chami” who was in charge of services for ISIS in al-Mayadeen city and a “legislator” for the terror organization were killed in addition to 11 more terrorists and the two cars that were transporting burned down in al-Salehiea area in Bokmal countryside.
