Kazakh Foreign Ministry: Preparations for next Astana meeting on Syria continue

Astana, SANA – Head of Media Department at the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, Anwar Jaynakov, underlined the ministry’s ongoing preparations for the next meeting on Syria set for July 4-5 in Astana.

Commenting on news about an expected terrorist chemical attack, Jaynakov said in a statement to the Russian news agency Sputnik “I can affirm nothing but to say that we continue preparations for the meeting scheduled on July 4-5,” adding there are no signs on the possibility of any failure.

The Kazakh capital, Astana, hosted 4 meetings on the crisis in Syria, during the last of which the Russian memorandum on de-escalation zones in Syria was signed.
