“Fairuz, Salute from Damascus” art exhibition by artist Osama Jahjah

Damascus, SANA – An exhibition titled “Fairuz, Salute from Damascus” by artist Osama Jahjah was opened on Tuesday at the Art House in Damascus.

The exhibition, which runs until Jan 22nd, features 16 paintings of the Lebanese singer Fairuz inspired by her works, combining the classical painting with the digital techniques, in addition to other two paintings featuring two of Fairuz’s collaborators: her son Ziad Rahbani and her late husband Assi Rahbani.

According to Jahjah, Fairuz is “the voice of human,” and it is a great artistic icon, adding that this exhibition is his first step in paying tribute to other artistic, intellectual, and musical figures in Syria and the Arab world.
