Emesa Fair kicks off in Homs with participation of 35 local companies

Homs, SANA – The activities of Emesa Fair kicked off on Saturday at Ghazwan Abu Zaid Sports Hall in Homs city, with the participation of 35 local companies.

The fair, which will remain open until Wednesday, features various food products, detergents, cosmetics, and other daily necessities at reasonable prices.

Ghofran Ayyash from Qamar Fairs and Conferences Company, which is the partner of Homs Chamber of Commerce in organizing the fair, said such events are vital for revitalizing local production.

Representative of Farzat Food Industries Company Nihad Farzat told SANA’s correspondent that the fair provides goods at competitive prices compared to market prices, while pharmacist Antoine Jabbour said he participated to promote the products of his company Lablab.

Ismat al-Sarraj, who represents Al-Sarraj Food Production Company, said the fair offers discounts of up to 20%, while Marketing Director of Solo Company which produces spices and condiments said their products are offered at discounts of up to 25%.

Meanwhile, Kabbour International is providing valuable offers and gifts, and Al-Afrah Company for detergents is offering discounts of up to 30%.

On the other hand, the participation of Marwa Tissues Company marks its resumption of production after a three-year hiatus, while Ahlam Company for food products is participating despite the fact that its products are usually for exportation only.

Sales Manager of Badenkji Trade Group said that products are sold at the fair with nominal profit margins given the quality of the products.
