Syrian Army liberates more villages in Aleppo countryside

Aleppo, SANA_ Syrian Arab Army units on Sunday continued their advance during their operations against terrorist organizations on the southern directions of Aleppo countryside, liberating the villages of al-Bawabiyya and al-Kusaybia west of the international highway, and Tal Hadya, al-Zarba, al-Barqum, and the Agricultural Research Center (ICARDA) from the eastern side.

SANA reporter said that the army units continued their operations against terrorist groups positioned in a number of villages in the southern countryside of Aleppo, making new advance with the liberation of the village of al-Barqoum, al-Zarba, Tal Hadya, and the Agricultural Research Center on the eastern side of the International highway Aleppo / Damascus.

The army units continued their advance to the western side of the international road and liberated the villages of al-Kusaybiyya and al-Bawabiyya, extending their control over both sides of the international road in the direction of Aleppo city, in preparation for the restoration of this vital artery that connects the north of the country to Damascus city, through the central region reaching to the border with Jordan.

The reporter added that the army units continued their operations targeting with rocket barrage and artillery fire the terrorists’ remnants west of the international highway, Aleppo / Damascus, and eliminated terrorist groups in the village of Ma`rat al-Na`san on the edge of the administrative borders of Aleppo province.

On Saturday, army units advancing from Aleppo countryside met the units advancing from Idleb southeastern countryside at al-Eiss hill after defeating the terrorists from the area.

Earlier, Army and Armed Forces General Command announced that units of the Syrian Arab Army operating in Idleb and Aleppo provinces regained control over 600 square km and liberated tens of villages, towns and strategic hills.
