307 students qualify for Syrian Scientific Olympiad finals

Damascus, SANA – 307 10th grade students qualified for the finals of Syrian Scientific Olympiad in the subjects of math, physics, chemistry, IT, and natural sciences which will be held in early 2015.

Head of the National Agency of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad Imad al-Azeb said that qualifying for the finals stage is achieved by either by the student ranking first in each subject for their province, or by being one of the 60 students who had the highest grade average for all subjects, with these students competing for the top three spots in the finals.

He said that the top ten students in the finals, which will be held on January, will join national teams and begin preparations for international events.
