Damascus, SANA – All roads in Damascus and its Countryside are passable in general according to the Traffic Department at Interior Ministry.
Damascus-Homs highway and al-Salam – Sa’sa’a highway are not passable while Damascus-Beirut highway is hardly passable due to snow-drifts.
In Homs, Hama, Lattakia, Tartous and Sweida provinces, all main roads and highways are passable except for some roads across mountains and deep zones from ice and snow-drifts.
Lattakia-Tartous highway is hardly passable because of water accumulation while Daraa-Damascus road is hardly passable from heavy snowfall.
The Traffic Department called upon drivers to use fog lights, check brakes and slow down to avoid accidents on crossroads, slopes and turns.
