53 new coronavirus infections, 3 deaths reported in Syria

Damascus, SANA- 53 new COVID-19 infections, 175 recoveries and 3 deaths were reported in Syria on Wednesday, according to the Health Ministry.

A statement by the ministry showed that the total number of infections registered in Syria has reached up to 55,193, of which 48,801 have recovered, while 3,105 others passed away.

On March 22nd, 2020, Syria recorded the first coronavirus case, while the first death was reported on the 29th of the same month.
