Sydney, SANA-Zenobia Women’s Association, in partnership with the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre, presented the Amal ( hope) Art Exhibition with participation of seven Syrian female artists .
The artists participated with a series of their paintings and in the presence of many prominent public figures from the country.
The association’s president, Norma Medawar, expressed her thanks to the attendance, who encourage the artists to submit more artistic and creative works, as she is presenting a show for the participants.
The vice president of the association, Christine Bordwell, for her part, referred to the outstanding efforts made by the Queen Victoria Women’s Center, and its role in organizing the exhibition, and praised the contribution of Syrian community members in different aspects of life in Australian society.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, an evening was held in which some famous Syrian dishes were presented. Also, the guests listened to folk songs from the lute of the Syrian musician Husam Karam.
The Zenobia Association was founded in 2021 by a group of Syrian and Australian women to share Syrian civilization, culture, experience and progress, and to help Syrian women, in particular, and Arab women in general to integrate into Australian society through educational and awareness lectures.
