Hallaq, Pakistani Ambassador discuss means to develop MoUs signed between the two countries

Damascus, SANA- Syria and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan have discussed means to enhance cooperation to develop the existing memoranda of understanding between the two countries and setting executive programs for them, in addition to exchanging press delegations to benefit from the two countries’ experiences in the media field.

That came during a meeting held Sunday at the Ministry of Information’s building which brought together Minister of Information, Dr. Boutros Hallaq, and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Shahid Akhtar.

Minister Hallaq highlighted the role of the media during the war waged on Syria in conveying information and facts about what it was subjected to in terms of terrorism, confronting the Western media, and refuting misleading and false information and news.

He referred to the restrictive measures taken by the Western media institutions against the Syrian content on the net and social media.

For his part, the Pakistani Ambassador underlined the importance of exchanging visits to journalists, producing documentaries about the two countries, benefiting from Syrian drama and dubbing for Pakistani series, and introducing the peoples of the two countries to the culture of each other through drama and the possibility of implementing joint production works.
