Syrian Olympic football team leaves Asian Cup qualifiers after losing to the Jordanian team

Amman, SANA- The Syrian Olympic football team left the qualifiers of U-23 Asian Cup by losing the match to its Jordanian counterpart by 2-0 goals on Tuesday, in the Jordanian city of Zarqa in the final round of the qualifiers for Group A.

At the end of the qualifiers, The Syrian team came third with 3 points, the Omani team at the second place by 6 points, while the Jordanian one came first with 9 points and qualified for the Asian finals.

Syria’s U-23 team lost to its Omani counterpart in the first round with 2- 0 goals and beat Brunei team in the second match by 11-0 goals.
