General strike sweeps through the West Bank in solidarity with Gaza

Occupied Jerusalem, SANA- The cities and towns of the West Bank have witnessed a widespread strike denouncing the continued Israeli aggression for the 12th consecutive day on the besieged Gaza Strip, and the horrific massacre committed by the occupation through shelling al-Mamdani Hospital which left more than 500 persons dead and more than 600 injured.

Palestinian media reported that the strike called for by Palestinian national forces included all aspects of life. Universities, banks, commercial shops, and markets were closed, echoing the sentiments of the populace urging the continuation of confrontations against the occupation in all areas, streets, and squares.

Public transportation also ground to a halt, with strikes affecting all routes. Citizen movement was limited, and factories and plants shut their doors in solidarity.

The Palestinian territory witnessed public mourning, as flags were flown at half-mast over the public Palestinian institutions in the West Bank.
