Syrian-Venezuelan discussions on prospects of joint scientific cooperation

Damascus, SANA-  Syria and Venezuela discussed on Tuesday via Zoom technology means of bolstering joint scientific cooperation.

That came during a meeting between President of Damascus University, Dr. Mohammad Osama al-Jabban, and Director of Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research, Dr. Alberto José Quintero.

The two sides underlined the importance of scientific, academic and research cooperation, as well encouraging student, academic and expertise exchange, in addition to activating scientific research between both sides on the basis of equality and mutual benefit through the joint agreement that will be signed soon.

Dr. Quintero presented an overview of the institute, which consists of 20 centers, an internationally recognized university and postgraduate degrees, in addition to the library that is recognized by UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
