Mass forced displacement of Palestinians from northern Gaza Strip

Occupied Jerusalem, SANA- Thousands of Palestinians were forcibly displaced on Wednesday from Beit Hanoun town and its surroundings in northern Gaza Strip after the Israeli occupation army ordered the residents to evacuate.

Wafa News Agency reported that thousands began to flee to escape from the occupation bombing of the area, heading towards Gaza City and Jabalia in northern Gaza Strip, which is also being subjected to air raids and heavy artillery shelling.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) pointed out in a report last week that forced evacuation orders issued by the occupation army have become a daily occurrence for the residents of the Strip who are forced to leave in order to save their lives, noting that families are forced to move repeatedly, knowing that there is no safety anywhere in the Strip.

The number of displaced persons in Gaza Strip is estimated at about 2 million, including 1.7 million living in camps in al-Mawasi area, southwest of Gaza Strip, under harsh living conditions as a result of the occupation’s blockade, the prevention of the entry of aid, and the destruction of electricity, water, and sewage networks, resulting in the spread of malnutrition, diseases, and epidemics. Moreover, they are not safe from occupation bombardment, with almost daily massacres committed by the occupation by bombing displacement camps and shelters.

Since the start of the genocide on October 7, the Palestinians in Gaza Strip have been facing repeated displacement as the occupation army orders residents of residential areas and neighborhoods to evacuate them in order to destroy and penetrate them, ignoring the ongoing international demands to stop the war and allow the entry of aid into the Strip, and disregarding the Security Council’s calls for a ceasefire, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and to improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Strip.
