President al-Assad: Future is for the Orient that has been able to keep its identity and principles

Damascus, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday affirmed the principles of Syrian foreign policy in its relations with its Arab and regional surroundings, and in its international relations as well, and its dealing with international challenges and changes according to a strategic and realistic vision.

Bilateral relations are the nucleus for boosting relations with Arab countries

“Bilateral relations are the nucleus for boosting relations with Arab countries,” President al-Assad said in an open dialogue with ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions, and the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and expatriates.

President al-Assad approached current political issues according to the logic of firm principles on the one hand, and confronting regional and international challenges on the other.

“Al-Aqsa Flood operation” should be viewed within the context of the Palestinian Issue

President al-Assad stressed Syria’s firm stance on the Arab-Israeli conflict issue, saying that “Al-Aqsa Flood operation” should be viewed within the context of the Palestinian Issue, and not as an emergency field event, in the face of the United States and its Western allies’ attempts to show that Al-Aqsa flood is a cause of the tensions occurring today.

President Al-Assad added that dealing with the complexities and challenges related to Syria today is linked to its geographical and historical location, and to its being a battlefield and the focus of the ambitions of colonialists throughout history.

Chaos made by U.S.A has increased instability in the world

The President pointed out that the chaos made by the United States of America has increased instability in the world, and the international conflict today is an economic-technological one, particularly as the West has begun to lose its technological control over the East, which accelerates the formation of a new multipolar world.

The future belongs to the Orient now

“The future belongs to the East now, because it was able to preserve its identity and principles,” the President said, adding that successive developments affirm the escalation and continuation of this conflict, which will create more crises for all countries and peoples of the world.

The dialogue also dealt with the institutional aspect of diplomatic work, with President al-Assad affirming that this process is inseparable from the institutional development of all other government sectors, referring to the importance of developing work rules, and communication and coordination mechanisms between the ministry and its missions abroad, through establishing a permanent dialogue on all levels to ensure that precise frameworks and standards are established for the implementation of all aspects of diplomatic work.

President al-Assad’s dialogue came at the conclusion of the regular meeting of ambassadors and heads of Syrian diplomatic missions, which was held during the past few days at the site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
