Syria participates in Arab immigrant health professionals conference in Amman

Amman, SANA- The first Arab conference on the role of Arab immigrant health professionals in supporting health systems in Arab countries began Saturday in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with participation of Syria.

The conference is the first of its kind aims to bolster joint Arab health cooperation.

Health Minister Ahmad Damiriyah chaired the first session of the conference during which he highlighted the size, the factors associated with it, the resulting effects and challenges resulting from the migration of health workers, and the positive aspects associated with it, in addition to the prospects for benefiting from migrant competencies and the initiatives that can be put forward in this regard.

The two-day conference brought together nearly 500 participants, including Arab health ministers and doctors from Arab health competencies who have achieved remarkable successes abroad.
