Syrian-Cuban talks to enhance bilateral cooperation in health field

Havana, SANA-Cuba’s Minister of Public Health Dr. José Ángel Portal Miranda discussed with the Syrian Ambassador to Cuba Dr. Ghassan Obeid ways to develop and boost health cooperation between the two friendly countries.

During a meeting held at the Cuban Ministry of Public Health in the capital, Havana, the two sides stressed the importance of activating and updating the agreement signed between the Syrian and Cuban Ministries of Health in 2018, and strengthening cooperation relations in the health field and the pharmaceutical industry for the benefit of the two countries and friendly peoples.

The two sides reiterated their condemnation and rejection of the criminal US blockade and unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria and Cuba, which are the main cause of the difficult conditions experienced by the peoples of the two countries.
