Tehran-SANA- As part of his visit to Iran, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh met in Tehran with Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council.
The meeting touched upon bilateral cooperation and consultations on regional and international issues of common interest.
Sabbagh stressed the depth of the strategic bilateral relation, attaching great importance to enhancing cooperation and joint coordination to confront the escalating Israeli aggression against several countries in the region.
For his part, Ahmadian stressed that the Zionist enemy, despite all the crimes it commits against innocent civilians, has not achieved any noteworthy gains, but rather incurred great losses, including economic collapse.
In addition, Minister Sabbagh met with Ali Akbar Velayati, senior advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution on international affairs , with the two parties discussing ways to enhance the growing bilateral ties in all fields, the role they play at the regional and international levels, as well as their efforts to resolve the existing crises in the region.
Minister Sabbagh stressed during the meeting that the enemies’ plans to target our region are not new, with the enemy changing the methods of implementing those plans and using different tools to achieve them.
Velayati stressed that Syria and Iran are the two main pillars of the axis of resistance, adding that the more they strengthen their relations, the stronger this axis will become.
