French tourists criticize their government’s policy towards Syria

Damascus, SANA – Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Ayman Sousan met on Tuesday with members of the French tourist group visiting Syria.

Some of those took a swipe at the French government’s policy towards Syria and the misleading media campaigns targeting it, stressing that they will work on conveying the truth about the events in Syria to the French public opinion when they go back home.

In this context, Sousan said the policy followed by the French government regarding Syria harms the French interests above all and go against the values it boasts of, noting that the Syrians have come to regard France as an accomplice in the bloodshed in Syria.

While expressing their pleasure of visiting Syria, the French tourists said they sympathize with the Syrians as they are exposed to terrorism.
