Resistance art and culture festival kicks off in Damascus

Damascus, SANA – A cultural festival dedicated to resistance art and culture kicked off on Saturday at Khan Asaad Basha in Damascus.

The event is organized by the Cultural Chancellery of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus in cooperation with the Iranian-Palestinian Friendship Association.

The festival, which will continue until June 3rd, includes a book fair, an art exhibition featuring 88 paintings, drawings and photographs by Syrian, Iranian, and Palestinian artists, a handicrafts exhibition, and a poetry reading, in addition to a musical and dance performance by Aram theatre troupe.

The activities of the festival also include literary and cultural seminars and lectures on resistance in culture and media on daily bases at 4:30 pm.
