Syria participates in CAM short films festival in Cairo

Damascus, SANA- The short film “High Voltage” will participate in international festival for short films and documentaries “CAM” to hold its fifth edition in the Egyptian capital of Cairo during October 12th – 17th.

“The participation of the Syrian films in Arab and international festivals is not the first in the history of the Syrian cinema”, The film director al-Muhannad Kalthoum told SANA, asserting the importance of conveying the truths through Syrian Cinema as it is real mirror for all.

This Syrian film competes 80 other short films from 22 Arab and European countries participating in the festival.

The Festival, hosted by the Arab Egyptian Association for Culture, Media and Arts in Cairo annually, seeks to support the youth through enabling them to screen their films to encourage Cinema industry and to enhance the Arab cinema to convey its culture and civilization to the world.
