People’s Assembly marks 46th anniversary of Correctionist Movement

 

Damascus, SANA – The People’s Assembly on Wednesday marked the 46th anniversary of the Correctionist Movement, led by late president Hafez al-Assad.

Chairing the Assembly session, Speaker Hadiyeh Abbas said that the Correctionist Movement laid the bases of comprehensive progress in all walks of life, which allowed Syria to achieve advancement on the political, economic, social and cultural levels.

Abbas said that the Correctionist Movement’s track didn’t stop yet as it is a daily approach that keeps up with the requirements of the era and stage to maintain achievements and realize self-sufficiency, which constitutes a guarantee of sovereignty and dignity.

Abbas pointed out that Syria’s strength is a result of the Correctionist Movement which built the Syrian national state with its army, institutions, and economy. She also saluted the the Syrian people, the Syrian Arab Army, and President Bashar al-Assad who is leading the battle of defending the nation.
