35 trucks loaded with relief aid enter Daraa countryside

Daraa, SANA – The Relief Sub-Committee in Daraa sent a convoy carrying 275 tons of relief items to al-Sanamain city and the towns of Deir al-Bakhet, Jbab, and Mothbin in the northern countryside of Daraa province.

Deputy head of the executive office Awad al-Sweidan said in a statement that the convoy, which consists of 35 trucks and is carrying 275 tons of relief aid provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), entered on Tuesday to al-Sanamain city and the towns of Deir al-Bakhet, Jbab and Mothbin, and that this convoy aims to alleviate the suffering of the locals due to the terrorist war and the unjust siege imposed on Syria.

Head of the SARC branch in Daraa Ahmad Masalmeh said that aid included 8,000 food packages, 6,000 health packages, 3,000 canned food packages, half a ton of medical items, and water pumps and equipment networks.

He added that the aid targets 10,000 families in al-Sanamain city and 7,000 families in the towns of Deir al-bakhet, Jbab and Mothbin, and it will be distributed during the upcoming days.
