Syrian Tourism Day in Netherlands casts light on vandalism against Syrian archeological sites

Damascus, SANA – Syrian Tourism Day kicked off in Enschede city in the Netherlands , an event that aims at highlighting Syria’s archeological heritage and the landmarks and revealing the impact of the acts of vandalism inflicted on them by the terrorists in Syria.

The event, which is the fourth of its kind to be held in cities abroad, was organized by the Tourism Ministry in cooperation with the National Committee of Syrian Expatriates.

A variety of activities were held in the framework of the event, which took place at the hall of a Syriac orthodox church in the Dutch city, including a photo exhibition displaying various Syrian archeological sites before and after the damage they sustained due to the acts of the armed terrorist groups.

Lectures touching upon the Syrian cultural and archeological heritage and the damages caused to the tourism structure in Syria were also delivered as part of the activities, in addition to screening documentaries on the same subject.
