Medical aid delivered to Daraa and Douma in Damascus Countryside

Damascus, SANA – In cooperation with World Health Organization (WHO) and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), the Health Ministry delivered medical aid to several health centers in Daraa province and Douma city in Damascus Countryside, including medicine for children’s diseases and chronic diseases.

Minister of Health Nizar Yaziji said that the medical aid packages were delivered to Douma city in Damascus countryside and 9 healthcare centers in al-Hrak, Tafas, Nawa, Jasem and Busra al-Harir in the southern province of Daraa in order to meet citizens’ health needs under current circumstances.

He pointed out that the delivery of medical aid came in line with the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance medical services at the health institutions, adding that new convoys will be sent to all provinces over the next few days.

On Wednesday, 13 tons of medical aid were delivered to Daraa and a humanitarian aid convoy was sent to Aleppo’s western and eastern countryside. The convoy consisted of 5 trucks carrying 50 water tanks each containing 45,000 liters of water, in addition to other supplies and vaccines for children.
