Terrorist mortar attacks injure three civilians in Damascus

Damascus, SANA – Terrorists fired a number of mortar shells on several neighborhoods in the city of Damascus, injuring three civilians and causing material damage to a number of houses and a school books warehouse.

A source at the Police Command told SANA that two mortar shells fired by terrorists fell behind the Health Institute and in al-Diwaniye neighborhood in al-Adawi area, injuring two civilians and causing material damage to a house.

Another civilian was reported injured by shrapnel from a shell which landed in al-Qusour neighborhood. The shell caused significant damage to a house.

The source added that another shell fell near al-Iman Mosque in al-Mazra’a neighborhood, causing material damage to a warehouse for school textbooks, while another shell hit a residential building opposite to al-Mouwasat Hospital, causing material damage only.

A terrorist mortar attack on the town of Jaramana in Damascus Countryside resulted in a fire in a heating fuel tank and damage to a residential building.

A source at the Police Command told SANA that a mortar round fired by terrorist fell on the roof of a residential building in the town’s main square, causing material damage to the building and a fire in a fuel tank which was extinguished before the fire could spread.
