Moscow, SANA – Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov renewed Moscow’s rejection and denunciation of all procedures that threaten Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity through creating ‘quasi-state’ formations on its land.
Speaking at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), Peskov stressed that the creation of ‘quasi-state’ formations would pose threat to the security and stability in the whole region.
Regarding Sochi agreement on Idleb, the Russian diplomat criticized terrorists’ continued attacks and violation of the agreement, adding “Things are now more complicated than we thought of them before.”
He noted that President Vladimir Putin of Russia is optimistic about efforts to establish a demilitarized area in Idleb, a topic that was addressed during a meeting with Turkish regime President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
