Azzam offers condolences on death of ambassador to Egypt

Sweida, SANA – Commissioned by President Bashar al-Assad, Minister of Presidential Affairs Mansour Azzam offered condolences on the death of Ambassador Riyad al-Sneih, who died at dawn on Friday in Cairo.

The late al-Sneih’s family expressed thanks and appreciation of the President’s generous gesture and all those who participated in the funeral ceremony, held in Sweida city.

Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Ayman Sousan delivered a speech at the ceremony in which he hailed al-Sneih’s national and human traits as one of the members of the Syrian diplomacy who worked on defending the homeland.

Al-Sneih was appointed an ambassador to Egypt in 2014. He had also served as an ambassador in Chile, Spain and Argentina.
