Moscow, SANA- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said opportunities to resume dialogue on the crisis in Syria “are improving”, adding that it is a mistake to reject cooperation with Syria against terrorism.
“I believe opportunities to resume the political process to settle the crisis in Syria are improving… the UN Envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura is an expert and has worked for long time in the Middle East,” Lavrov told Russian ITARTASS news agency, affirming that there is an urgent need for Mistura’s experiences in the Syrian track.
He added it is a mistake to reject cooperation with Syria, and it is very encouraging that the international community acknowledged there is a need to combating terrorism.
