Industrial, Trade & Economic Forum between Syria and Iran starts activities

Tehran, SANA- The Industrial, Trade and Economic Forum between Syria and Iran was opened on Wednesday at headquarters of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Mines in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The Forum aims at upgrading the level of the bilateral cooperation and increasing the volume of trade exchange, and benefiting from the available opportunities and the potentials  of both sides to establish industrial and productive partnerships which are in line with the challenges in the current stage in light of the economic siege and the unjust sanctions imposed on the Syrian and Iranian peoples.

The Forum also aims at overcoming the obstacles facing the process of the joint cooperation and upgrading the level of economic and trade relations to be up to the level of the distinguished political relations between the two countries in order to achieve the hoped-for goals and to achieve a qualitative leap in the industrial, trade and production sectors.

The event is held with the participation of a delegation of Syrian businessmen and tradesmen headed by Dr. Samer al-Debs, Chairman of Damascus and its Countryside Chamber of Industry.
