New York, SANA – Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari signed a document containing the Preamble of the UN Charter in the six official languages as part of the activities for marking the anniversary of signing the Charter.
The document, which will be preserved at the UN HQ in New York where the signing was carried out, is an expression of renewed commitment to the charter, answering the initiative launched by UN General Assembly President Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garces,
The UN Charter was signed on June 26, 1945, by delegates from 50 countries in San Francisco, USA.
