Syria grabs 22 various medals at 2019 Beirut Open – World Taekwondo – G1

Beirut, SANA_ The Syrian Taekwondo team has earned 22 various medals (2 gold, 7 silver and 13 bronze) ranking third at the recently concluded  2019 Beirut Open – World Taekwondo – G1 in which 60 teams representing 26 countries competed.

On the 3rd day of the event and in men and woman categories,  Lama Khawande snatched the gold medal, Nisreen Deraki and Delar Hajj Hussein won two silver medals, while the bronze respectively went to Alaa  al-Haj, Khaled Sadeqa, Yara Abdul-Ghafour and Aya al-Jaraihi in addition to a bronze of the third place in the overall standings.

Earlier, the team gained seven medals ( one gold, two silver and four bronze) on the second day of 2019 Beirut Open – World Taekwondo – G1 in the cadet and junior categories.

Aya Mubarak won the gold medal, Shams Ahmed, Rand Ibrahim  earned the silver medals  and the bronze medals went to abdul Latif al-Jaraihi, Noureddine Jaidani, Moatasem al-Buka’i and Sulaf Sa’ud.

On the first day of the event, the Syrian Taekwondo team won three silver and four bronze medals in the cadet and Junior categories.
