Syria expresses its support for Venezuela to run presidential elections and its rejection of any foreign interference

Damascus, SANA- Syria expressed its support for the friendly country of Venezuela to run the presidential elections scheduled next July and its strong opposition to any external interference in this process.

“The government of the Syrian Arab Republic expresses its support for the government of the friendly Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in holding the presidential elections scheduled for 07.28.2024 in accordance with the Venezuelan Constitution, and in a way that reflects the desire and will of the friendly Venezuelan people, and strongly opposes any external interference in this process which is considered an interference in Venezuelan internal affairs,” Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement.

“The government of the Syrian Arab Republic once again reiterates its support for the government and people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the face of the unilateral economic sanctions imposed on it by the US government, and considers that these sanctions are nothing but a continuation of US arrogance and approach aimed at undermining security and stability in more than one region of the world”, the ministry added.
