Lavrentiev discuss with UK Prime Minister’s International Affairs situation in Syria

Moscow, SANA- Russian President’s Special Envoy to Syria Alexander Lavrentiev discussed with UK Prime Minister’s International Affairs Adviser and Deputy National Security Adviser David Quarrey the situation in Syria.

Russia Today quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement that Lavrentiev and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin held talks on Friday with Quarrey, pointing out that the sides reviewed the situation in Syria, particularly in northeastern Syria and in the de-escalation zone in Idleb.

They also discussed the process of political settlement in the light of the launch of the works of the Committee of discussing the constitution in Geneva, and the issues of providing comprehensive humanitarian assistance to all Syrians who need it, the Russian Foreign Ministry statement stressed.
