Homs, SANA- Homs Fire Brigade, in cooperation with the Civil Defense and the Syrian Arab Army personnel have extinguished the fire that broke out in the agricultural lands of Qalatiyeh town in Homs western countryside.
Brigadier General Ghaith Aqel, Director of Civil Defense in Homs, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the fire brigade has managed to control the fire and to prevent it from reaching the citizens’ houses, indicating that the fire brigade teams are currently carrying out the cooling process to prevent the renewal of the fire.
Aqel added that the fire in al-Nasira town is now under control, but that some fire spots re-erupted as a result of winds and the dry weather condition, and that the fire brigade cadres are working to extinguish these fire spots.
Aqel added that the fire brigade teams are currently dealing with a fire that broke out in the agricultural lands in al-Jowanyat in Wadi al-Nadara area.
