Damascus, SANA- The Syrian national weightlifting team will participate in the Arab weightlifting Championship scheduled to be held in Morocco from Dec. 15 to 20.
Chairman of Weightlifting Union Hasanain al-Sheikh told SANA that the Championship was scheduled on Dec. 10, but it was later postponed to Dec. 15 to open the door wide before Arab teams to participate in it.
Al-Sheikh added that the Syrian team has been training from about a month to participate in the Championship.
Last month, the Syrian team won 27 various medals in the Arab Weightlifting Championship held in Tunisia.
