Social affairs minister affirms necessity of outlining executive program for women and children protection

Damascus, SANA- The participants in the Higher Relief Committee meeting for protection and social services discussed the draft national strategy for women and children protection.

Social Affairs Minister Kinda al-Shammat affirmed during the meeting the importance of outlining an executive program for protecting women and children according to a time frame that starts with the beginning of next year.

The minister pointed out that the draft strategy will be submitted to the ministry’s council for approval.

For her part, Director of the Syrian Commission for Family and Population Affairs, Hadeel al-Asmar said the strategy will protect women, children and the elderly, besides its work in the living and early recovery sector.
