Contemporary artistic visions of different generations at the Autumn Fair 2020

Damascus-SANA-Dozens of contemporary artistic visions created by hands of 150 plastic artists from different generations that came from a variety of styles, contents and art schools were included in the annual autumn exhibition which decorated Khan Asa’ad Pasha in Old Damascus.

The techniques of the participating works in the exhibition, which was held within the activities of the Syrian Formation Days, varied between oil painting, graphics and various sculpture of raw materials in addition to experimental works that all dealt with topics about women, the silent nature and Arabic calligraphy in different sizes and techniques.

In a statement to reporters, Minister of Culture, Lubana Mshaweh, praised the beauty of the works participating in the exhibition and the diversity of generations of artists, both veterans and youth, calling on lovers of culture and art to visit the exhibition and enrich its aesthetic taste and acquire artworks to encourage artists to continue working.

For his part, director of fine arts, sculptor Emad Kasshout, told SANA that the Autumn Exhibition is an annual event that has never stopped throughout the years of war.

“Every year, the Exhibition increases its diversity and impetus, and this year it is held within the activities of the Days of Fine Art as we tried to select the most important works in the participating works,” Kasshout added.
