Al-Sarraj Village … a beauty hiding between ancient rivers and castles

Lattakia, SANA_ The visitor of al-Sarraj village does not know what dazzles him most, is it the charming nature and the fresh air or the pine and oak forests spread on the edges of the road where the rivers, springs and pristine nature, or its location within the path of the four castles, Salah al-Din, al-Mahalbah, Bani Qahtan and Minaqah, or its closeness to the Shuh and Cedar Reserve.

Al-Sarraj, which is about 700 meters above sea level, is surrounded by a river that runs from al-Qarir on the northern side and meets al-Blat river that stems from Jubet Berghal, according to Mayor of Karm Al-M’aysra municipality to which the village is affiliated, Mudar Murshid.

He added that the forests of pine, oak and perennial cedar which fence the village, make it more beautiful.
Murshid told SANA that the village is administratively affiliated to the al-Haffah area in al-Muzairaa Township as it is famous of growing wheat and tobacco, in addition to cold-resistant fruit trees.

He added that the village has stunning views on al-Sarraj River Valley site, where the Ministry of Tourism held “Awafi” festival for traditional folk food last year.
