Patriarch Laham: ISIS represents major ideological threat

Beirut, SANA- Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch of Antioch and All the East Patriarch Gregorios III Laham affirmed on Monday that region is facing a major ideological danger represented by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and the ugly atrocities it is committing.

Laham’s comments came in a Christmas message he delivered on Monday.

The biggest challenge lies not in the clash of civilizations, but rather in their meeting, said Patriarch Laham.

He added that the so called “Arab Spring” was built on a subversive theory which is a theory of conflict, the opposite of what God wanted for humanity.
