SARC distributes 400 relief packages in Hama

Hama, SANA – The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), Hama Branch on Tuesday distributed 460 humanitarian relief baskets to the people of Halfaya town, Hama Province.

Number of the families which have benefited from the services offered by the SARC in Hama reached 207,000 families so far.

Director of the SARC, Hama Branch Dr. Fadi Aiyash told SANA the releif aid included health packages, mattresses and blankets, and aimed at helping the people in winter.

Dr. Aiyash added that other relief packages will be distributed by the beginning of the next year to the families of the city.

He pointed out that the SARC team is carrying out mobile tours in the province to monitor the malnutrition cases to be treated at the Organizations’ clinic and al-Assad Medical Complex in Hama.

Psychosocial support team is offering services at the makeshifts center to ease the psychological impacts of the crisis, specially to children, Dr. Aiyash said.
