Non-Aligned Movement’s foreign ministers reject unilateral measures, violations of states’ sovereignty

Baku, SANA-Foreign Ministers of member states at the Non-Aligned Movement stressed rejection of any form of unilateral, coercive measures imposed on counties of the Movement, calling for removing them as they are illegitimate and null.

The Ministers, concluding the mid-term ministerial conference being held in the Azari capital of Baku, adopted a political declaration which  affirmed that those measures contradict the international law and constitute a flagrant violation of UN charter.

“The spread of Coronavirus pandemic also increased the negative effects of those measures,” the ministers said, stressing their firm commitment to oppose any step that would violate the unity and territorial integrity of the member states.

They renewed their support and solidarity with Syria to restore the occupied Syrian Golan ,demanding “Israel,” the occupier authority, to implement Resolution no. 497 for 1981 , considering the measures taken by “Israel” aiming at changing the legal and demographic status of the occupied Syrian Golan as null and void  and have no legal effect , demanding this entity to completely  withdraw  from the occupied Golan till the line of June 4th, 1967 in implementation of Security council resolutions no. 242 and 338.

The meetings of the mid-term ministerial conference of the Non-Aligned Movement, which were held virtually, concluded in the Azeri capital of Baku on Wednesday afternoon, with the participation of the Syrian Arab Republic represented by Foreign and Expatriates Minster, Faysal Mikdad.
