Zurich, SANA – The Portuguese player and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo won the 2014 Ballon d’Or on Monday night.
The trophy is the third for Ronaldo, who had won it in 2008 and 2013. He has scored 26 goals in 16 games in La Liga and an additional five goals in six Champions League games so far this season.
Ronaldo was presented with the 2013-14 Golden Shoe award as Europe’s top goal scorer in the last season, sharing the award with Luis Suarez from Uruguay, each of the players has scored 31 goals last season.
