Lebanese Energy Minister: Extracting gas from Egypt will provide additional hours of feeding to Lebanon

Beirut, SANA- Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water Walid Fayyad stressed that the project of extracting gas from Egypt through Syria and Jordan provides additional daily feeding hours for the country.

Fayyad told journalists on Wednesday that the stages of the project of the gas extraction from Egypt through Jordan and Syria to Lebanon will secure about 4 additional hours of feeding, in addition to two hours that will be provided by the Jordan Electricity Company.

The ministers of energy and electricity in Syria, Jordan and Egypt agreed on a work plan and a time table to re-operate the standing  electricity lines between the electricity networks of the three countries.
